The WeatherPlayer hardware consists of a unit containing temperature, wind and water sensors, and a radio controlled web cam. Each sensor sends a control voltage of 0-5V to a monitor box which then passes the signals to a CV(Control Voltage)-MIDI converter. Therefore, the software receives 4 channels of MIDI note-on data, which it uses to influence the behaviour of sound generating algorithms.
